This Poster features all the main elements of the anime 'Berserk'. we have his dark form over shadowing his normal look foreshadowing the events that come later in the story. At the bottom of the illustration the page is littered with different monsters that the main protagonist faces throughout the show.

Mood board for Berserk illustration

I spent most of my time looking for references to his armour and the muscles of his arms. As you can see in the illustration he is quite a muscular guy but to the point where it's almost humanely impossible. So I had to use my knowledge of anatomy and references to figure out how his muscles worked and how they move to make sure the drawing was anatomically correct.
